The miracles of Saint Brigid

When you drive through Ireland and you reach Kildare town in the county Kildare you will certainly know that you are in the area of St Bridget. The St Brigid’s cross will be visible everywhere especially on the motorway outside the town on your way to the Kildare village you will see how the famous cross is made.

Kildare is one of only two towns on the island of Ireland that is still on the same location of an ancient Monastery. In Kildare it is the Church of the Oak tree and a fire burned constantly in memory of St Brigid. This site was most probably founded in honour of the Goddess Brigid in pre-Christian times. The site was occupied only by women with a chief priestess who was then actually a druidess.
