Transformed hearts

2 Kings 22:8-20: We live in a very broken world. Things are not good. People are now thinking and hoping to find solutions to our troubles. Many believe political solutions can work; the far left thinks they have the best ideas, and the far right thinks they are on the right track. Some believe that we need more technology and better trade solutions. All these ideas might sound convincing, but unfortunately, they are not. The only solution is for people to have new, transformed hearts and minds. Those we can only get from God. In our passage, we read the extraordinary story of Josia, the king of Juda, who discovered the word of God. The people who are supposed to be custodians of the Bible lost it. Josia fortunately found it, and it touched him deeply. He restored the service of God, had people who helped him, and with a lot of hard work, he got rid of all the despicable idols in the country. Only then could reformation start.
